“Let’s Talk Suicide…”
Webinar: GMTCollectively, we want to reduce the number of suicides in society. Understanding the mindset of those who are at risk of suicide, how to intervene to provide a safety net and how to signpost help and support are vital steps to making this a reality. Equally, understanding how to deal with the impact of a suicide in order to support family, friends and community, is prevention for the next generation.
Join Carole Ann Clarke, Founding Member & Managing Director Europe of I Am Here, for an open and informative webinar that will give us all Courage and Confidence to embrace the discussion around suicide.
This panel event will feature world renowned suicidologist Barry McGale, advisor to I Am Here, Suicide Prevention Consultant & Trainer with Suicide Bereavement UK and Livingworks Inc. and Patron for the Support After Suicide Partnership. He is also a Director of The National Suicide Research Foundation (Ireland).
Carole Ann will also be joined by Dr. Rory O’Connor, President of the International Association for Suicide Prevention and Director of the Suicidal Behaviour Research Laboratory, Glasgow University. Rory has just published a book called “When It Is Darkest: Why People Die by Suicide and What We Can Do to Prevent It”.
Each suicide directly impacts 135 people across the workplace, family, friend circles and communities. The conversation that needs to be had includes us all.
