Health and Safety: The Foundations of a Mentally Fit Workforce

Carole Ann Clarke will be joined by Elvin Box MCIOB MBA, Chair London Constructing Excellence; International Construction and Innovation Consultant, and a Community Ambassador for the global men’s health charity, Movember.

Elvin has worked in the construction industry since leaving school at 16, when he joined a traditional London Building company to undertake an apprenticeship in carpentry and joinery.

During his life he has experienced trauma both on site; going to the aid of a fellow worker, who tragically fell six floors to his death, and in his personal life through diagnosis and treatment for Prostate cancer.

We will highlight the need to approach Health and safety with wellbeing in mind v physical safety – meeting the needs of workers in a holistic manner (the person across all wellbeing pillars).

As chair of the London Constructing excellence, Elvin will share their vision behind the future of work where no worker will be left without support. We will also talk about best practice across the industry.
