As men, we’re often expected to go it alone, to be providers, and to look after ourselves and our families. We might think that asking for help or support is a sign of weakness. It’s not. It takes courage to ask for help and support.
That help and support can in many forms: meeting with a friend; talking to a financial expert; or visiting a physiotherapist for ongoing back pain.
This poem, by John Donne, tells us that we’re not alone. No man is an island, we’re a continent, we’re joined together. We share our celebrations and our challenges. We are in this together.
